Social Responsibility

Uniting forces to transform lives through education

We believe in the transformative power of education

Operating in various social and cultural contexts, we can gauge the potential of education for individual and collective development. It has the power to open doors, create opportunities, and build a brighter future.

For us at Inwave, the initiative to unite education and technology is inspiring! This combination motivated us to support Instituto Apontar, where we are responsible for Robotics and Projects workshops, believing that together we can make a difference.

Inwave & Apontar Partnership

Since 2016, Inwave has been a supporter of Instituto Apontar, investing so that the children and young people served by the institute have access to the world of technology, expanding their knowledge in electronics and programming. We sponsor the Robotics and Projects workshops offered by the institution. With great pride, we highlight the technology fairs held in public schools in Rio de Janeiro, in addition to the awards won by the students, such as 4th place at the Brazilian Science and Engineering Fair and recognition for the best project in 2022 by the São Paulo Polytechnic Engineers Association.

About Instituto Apontar

Instituto Apontar is a nonprofit social organization that aims to contribute to the cognitive and socio-emotional development of children and adolescents with giftedness and high abilities, from low-income families. With a focus on ethical, cultural, and academic education, the Institute offers psychosocial support and educational programs that broaden the students' individual skills and cultural repertoire, working in public schools in Rio de Janeiro.
Through the Arcos Program, 4th and 5th-grade students participate in activities that contribute to the development of their individual skills at our headquarters in Lapa. From the time they join the Institute until their school graduation, they also receive psychosocial support.
Through the A+ Program, Instituto Apontar is present in 100% of the Regional Education Departments of Rio de Janeiro, serving students from 6th to 9th grade with activities that promote academic enrichment. In addition, the students broaden their cultural repertoire through field trips, museum visits, and field activities. All students, including their families, are supported by the psychosocial team.

An initiative that generates impact and pride

The partnership between Inwave and Instituto Apontar brings positive impact to everyone involved.

Pedro Nicollas
Programmer at Inwave and former student of Instituto Apontar

"During my journey at Instituto Apontar, I had constant support from teachers in various areas. In addition to school tutoring, I participated in several activities like writing workshops, comics, math, electronics, and robotics. This influenced me a lot! I always liked the technology field, but the Robotics workshops really encouraged and deepened my passion. When the internship opportunity at Inwave came up, I was recommended for the position, and now I’m a full-time employee."

Anna Julia
Former student of Instituto Apontar

"These workshops are important because, besides gaining knowledge in different areas, we get to experiment and discover what we like most. I joined the robotics workshop with two friends, and the following year Altair invited us to the projects workshop—we were amazed! In the first class, we did a brainstorming session and had to identify a societal problem we could solve with robotics. Today, I’m at UFRJ studying Electrical Engineering, largely thanks to the robotics workshops I attended at Apontar."

Altair dos Santos
Robotics teacher at Instituto Apontar

“I think these workshops are extremely important because I, myself, as a young student, participated in many science fairs and worked on many projects. This kind of practice greatly develops the students. What I find most interesting here at Apontar is that many of the students I’ve taught are now in the field of engineering thanks to the robotics and project workshops! This makes me incredibly happy to know that I contributed to that!”
